Biolase Waterlase

background

Technology continues to change our lives every day. With Biolase Waterlase, you can successfully treat many common oral conditions gently, minimally invasively. Our dental clinic uses advanced tools, including dental lasers, to care for your oral health.

Biolase is the world's leading innovator of dental lasers. With thousands of lasers in operating rooms worldwide, millions of patients have experienced the benefits of laser dentistry, such as gentler procedures and comfortable healing.

While dental drills have long been the method of choice for many dental procedures, a dental laser like Waterlase can achieve the same procedures. Waterlase is a BIOLASE product that utilizes a water-energized laser beam to cut oral tissue such as teeth, gums, and even bone! Using laser energy and a water jet, Waterlase can perform many processes without firing or drilling.

How Does Biolase Waterlase Work?

The interaction of the laser beam and the water/air jet allows the system to cut, engrave and shape the target tissue precisely while avoiding direct contact. Although the treatment may not be completely painless, anesthesia is not necessary.

The WaterLase dental laser operates at 100 pulses per second and covers a larger surface area than the tip of a dental drill. Additionally, because WaterLase Dentists can complete most procedures without injections, they get more done in a single visit.

The Effectiveness of Waterlase

BIOLASE has developed the WaterLase technology with the dental goal of “no shot, no drilling, no pain.” While WaterLase is not vastly known, the prospect of relatively painless teeth makes it a little less daunting to see the dentist.

The drills are still quite effective in accomplishing their intended dredging and burrowing purposes; However, in an era where technology is constantly evolving, alternatives are becoming more and more available.
